At its session held on 26.04.2013, the Communications Regulation Commission (CRC) considered the report of the expert committee for the work done and for the rating results from the conducted unattended contest for seventh multiplex for terrestrial digital television.

 

The contest was announced by CRC decision No. 68 of 21.01.2013 in implementation of the Plan for introduction of terrestrial digital television broadcasting (DVB-T) and the Law on Electronic Communications (LEC). Two undertakings DVB-T AD and BULSATCOM AD filed their applications for participation within the specified term.

 

The contest committee, which included experts from CRC, the Council for Electronic Media (CEM) as well as from the State Agency for National Security (SANS) presented its findings and reasons, on the grounds of which, with decision No. 322, BULSATCOM AD was identified as the winning candidate in the contest. DVB-T AD is rated second place.
