The Communications Regulation Commission adopted draft amendment of the National Numbering Plan

 

With Decision No 2034 of 11.10.2012 the Communications Regulation Commission (Commission, CRC) adopted a draft Decision on amendment of the National Numbering Plan (draft).

 

The proposed in the draft amendments in the National Numbering Plan (NNP) are in pursuance of § 30 of the Transitional and Final Provisions of the Ordinance on amendment and supplement to Ordinance No 1 from 2010 on the rules for allocation/distribution and the procedures for primary and secondary assignment for use, reservation and withdrawal of numbers, addresses and names (promulgated in SG, issue 74 from 2012).

 

The amendments in the NNP consist of: opening of a new range of numbers for access to services using the communication Machine-to-Machine (M2M); change in the purpose of the codes “99X”; setting the maximum length of the national significant numbers after the geographic codes in line with the amendments resulting from the digitalization of the network of Bulgarian Telecommunication Company AD; editor amendments.

 

In conformity with art. 36 of the LEC, the Commission launches a public consultation procedure as the draft is published on the CRC’s website at the following address www.crc.bg.
