The broadband performance testing specialist SamKnows in collaboration with the EC is looking for volunteers from across Europe!

 

If you declare your willingness to participate, you will receive a specially designed device you can plug to your modem/router. It is called SamKnows’ “Whitebox”. With this device you will have access to real time detailed data for the quality of your connection, including in terms of speed and reliability.

The European Commissioner for Digital Agenda Neelie Kroes supports the research financed by the European funds. It will assess the broadband connection of the consumers in the 27 EU Member states, as well as Iceland, Norway and Croatia. The EC will use the data to define the current effectiveness of the European internet providers and also to identify successful examples and potential problems. The results will help to improve the effectiveness of the investments in high-speed broadband internet in Europe and to implement European digital policy, as well as to provide the end users with useful information on the quality of the services offered.
