On 24^th of March 2011, the Communications Regulation Commission (the CRC) decided to sanction the “BTC” AD and its Executive Director for non–provision of information with reference to the analysis related to the leased lines service, which has been elaborated by the regulator.

 

Given the market position of the incumbent “BTC” AD, the non-provision of the required by the CRC data prevents the adequate, correct and complete analysis of the leased lines market.

 

The undertaking is liable to a property sanction amounting to BGN 7 000 per week and its Executive Director – a fine of BGN 700 per week, until the execution of the obligation for provision of information according to CRC’s Decision No 505 of 30.04.2010.

 

At the beginning of 2011, the Commission sent to “BTC” AD an invitation for voluntary execution of the obligation. The undertaking did not provide complete and accurate information, so that the regulator adopted a Decree of 24 March 2011 on imposition of sanctions.
