The CRC was elected First Vice-President of the Network of Regulators of the Member States of the International Organization of the Francophonie (FRATEL)

The Communication Regulation Commission was elected First Vice-President of the Network of Regulators of the Member States of the International Organization of the Francophonie (FRATEL), announced the Chairman of the CRC, Veselin Bozhkov, PhD. This happened during the seminar on “Network neutrality”, held in late April in Tunis.

FRATEL was established in 2003 in Bamako, Mali. Its members are national communications regulators from the Member States of the Francophonie, including Canada, Belgium, France, Luxembourg, Monaco, Switzerland, Albania, Macedonia, Moldova, Romania, many countries in Africa and Asia. The broad range of the network provides a unique opportunity for cooperation between regulators at the regional, European and global level. The CRC is a co-founder and a member of FRATEL since its establishment.

FRATEL is managed by a Steering Committee, composed of a chairman, first vice-president and second vice-president. The Committee operates on the principle of the “troika” and each leading position shall be held for a period of one year. The CRC will take over as President of FRATEL in 2011 and the Second Vice-President in 2012.
