By Decision No 274 of 23 February 2010, the Communications Regulation Commission (CRC) adopted a Draft of an amendment and supplement to the Tariff of the charges collectable by the Communications Regulation Commission for 2010 under the Law on Electronic Communications according to the annex  The project was developed in relation to the provisions of Chapter eight of the LEC and in view of the European Commission Decision on the harmonisation of the 900 MHz and 1 800 MHz frequency bands for terrestrial systems capable of providing pan-European electronic communications services in the Community and Directive 2009/114/EC of the European Parliament and the Council amending Council Directive 87/372/EEC on the frequency bands to be reserved for the coordinated introduction of public pan-European terrestrial cellular digital mobile communications in the Community. Some of the amendments in the Draft amendment to the Tariff were made in view of determining a fee which is not related to the technology used to build the network. Some editorial changes also have been made. These changes are designed to eliminate some existing contradictions in the practical application of the rules of the Tariff as well as to stimulate undertakings to develop their networks and the electronic communications services they offer.

 

In accordance with the LEC and, pursuant to Art. 36, para. 1 and para. 2, of the Law the regulator launches a public consultation procedure.

 

The proposals and comments on the draft Tariff of the charges collectable by the Communications Regulation Commission under the LEC submitted within the deadline will be reviewed by the CRC.
