The CRC and the Information and Communications Technologies Authority of Turkey have signed a Memorandum of Understanding

 

 

The Chairman of the Communications Regulation Commission (CRC) – Mr. Veselin Bozhkov, PhD and the President of the Information and Communications Technologies Authority of Turkey (ICTA) Dr. Tayfun Acarer have signed a Memorandum of Understanding in the area of the electronic communications at a bilateral meeting in Sofia.

 

The objective of the document is to establish relations between the two parties in the area of the policies and legislative practices in the electronic communications.

 

“The cooperation and information exchange between neighbour countries is of utmost importance for the telecommunications as an infrastructure branch and will contribute to the more effective application of the regulatory practices in the region”, announced the Chairman of the CRC Mr. Veselin Bozhkov, PhD when signing the document.

 

The Memorandum of Understanding takes into account the necessity of a common basis for plans and programs and development of practical cooperation on sector’s issues. The document foresees exchange of information on national legislations and secondary legislation strategies and on elaboration of sector’s strategies.

 

The Parties will exchange publicly available data for the activity and for the national markets in the area of electronic communications.

 

This is the second document for cooperation with a neighbour country, after signing the Memorandum of Understanding with Macedonia in Skopje a month ago.
