Over 400 applications received for issuing authorisations for analogue broadcasting of television signals

 

 

16 candidates have submitted 407 applications to the Communications Regulation Commission (CRC) for issuing authorisation for analogue broadcasting of television signals within the deadline.

 

The following candidates submitted applications within the deadline: "Eurocom Bulgaria" EOOD, "TV 2" EOOD, "Balkan Bulgarian Television AD, "RE-TV" EAD "Vest-TV" EAD, "TV-7" EAD, "M. SAT" EOOD, "R. D.-TV" EOOD, "Bulgaria Cable TV" OOD, "Statis" AD, "Eurocom National Cable TV" OOD, "Telakabel" AD, SD "Vis Vitalis -- Samarski and Co", "Mihailov TV" OOD, "TV Europe" AD and "Agency Nova-M" EOOD.

 

The list of candidates has been submitted to the Council for Electronic Media, which, under the rules adopted and legal requirements established, should provide a statement on whether the candidates have been registered under the Radio and Television Act.


Meanwhile, the submitted documents are checked for conformity with other requirements of the procedure. In case of incompleteness and irregularity, the applicant concerned will be informed to take action in order to correct them within 7 days of receipt of the notification.


Candidates are required to hold a general (polythematic) or specialised registration under the Radio and Television Act, and 24-hour duration of the program.
Authorisations will not be issued to persons who already hold one with national or local coverage for the settlements they apply for.

 

The Commission published on its website information for the available scarce resource – radio spectrum for the provision of electronic communications through electronic communications networks used for terrestrial analogue broadcasting of television signals and announced 102 free frequencies for 58 localities throughout the country.
