By decisions № 2194/23.10.2008 and № 2195/23.10.2008 the Communications Regulation Commission (CRC) announced auctions with secret bidding for granting rights of use of individually assigned scarce resource – radio frequency spectrum for carrying out public electronic communications through mobile terrestrial network under GSM standard with national coverage for 10 years term. By one of the decisions will be provided individually assigned scarce resource – radio frequency spectrum – 2 x 10 MHz of the 1800 MHz range in frequency bands 1756,7000 – 1766,7000 MHz and 1851,7000 – 1861,7000 MHz., while by the other - 2 х 15 MHz of the 1800 MHz range in radio frequency bands 1741,3000 – 1756,3000 MHz and 1836,3000 – 1851,3000 MHz.

The initial bid of the auction for provision of scarce resource – radio frequency spectrum - 2 х 10 MHz, is BGN 38 000 000 (thirty eight million leva), while the deposit for participation amounts to BGN 1 500 000 (one million and five hundred thousand leva). The bidding increment is BGN 1 000 000 (one million leva).

The initial bid of the auction for provision of scarce resource – radio frequency spectrum - 2 х 15 MHz, is BGN 57 000 000 (fifty seven million leva), while the deposit for participation amounts to BGN 2 500 000 (two millions and five hundred thousand leva). The bidding increment is BGN 1 000 000 (one million leva).

The price for each of the sets Auction papers is BGN 4 000 and they can be purchased as of 31 October 2008 and until 14 November 2008 inclusive.

The auctions will be conducted in Sofia, at CRC building, 6 “Gurko” str. The auction for provision of scarce resource – radio frequency spectrum - 2 х 15 MHz, will start at 10:00 am on 10 December 2008, and the auction for provision of scarce resource – radio frequency spectrum - 2 х 10 MHz, will start at 10:00 am on 17 December 2008.

Applications for participation in the auctions can be submitted until 5:00 pm on 27 November 2008. The application and all documents should be submitted in Bulgarian language in two identical copies by the legal or explicitly authorized representatives of the participants in the auction. Applications can be submitted only by persons, who have purchased the auction documents.
