By decision №737/03.06.2008 the Communications Regulation Commission announced an auction with secret bidding for granting a right of use for individually assigned scarce resource – radio frequency spectrum for provision of public electronic communications through mobile terrestrial network under GSM standard with national coverage for 20 years (Link). Individually assigned scarce resource of the radio frequency spectrum – 2 x 5 MHz in the range 1800 MHz will be provided by the granted right of use.

      The initial auction bid is BGN 38 000 000, the deposit for participation amounts to BGN 1 900 000. The bidding increment is BGN 2 000 000.

      The auction will start at 10:00 am on 29 July 2008 in Sofia at the National Palace of Culture, hall № 6.

      The auction papers’ price is BGN 4 000 and they can be bought from 10.06.2008 to 27.06.2008 inclusive. Applications for participation in the auction can be submitted until 5:00 pm on 11.07.2008.
