"The challenges of 5G in Bulgaria" were discussed at a round table held on 27 September 2019

The Communication Regulation Commission (CRC) organised a round-table discussion named “The Challenges of 5G in Bulgaria”. The Forum was attended by the Chairman of CRC – Mr Ivan Dimitrov, the Deputy-Minister of Ministry of Transport, Information Technology and Communications- Mrs Andreana Atanasova and representatives of the mobile operators.

The participants in the round table discussed some of the factors needed for the successful implementation of 5G – setting conditions for harmonised use of radio spectrum, facilitation of infrastructure construction, promotion of shared deployment and use of facilities, creation of conditions for easy  installation of small cells, maximum electromagnetic field limits.

The coordinated approach and the adoption of coordinated solutions between all stakeholders to the benefit of consumers and business should guarantee the process of 5G deployment in Bulgaria.

The organised round-table is one of the series of meetings devoted to the topical subject of 5G that CRC intends to hold in different formats until the end of the year.
