The Chairman of the Communications Regulation Commission, Mr Ivan Dimitrov, took part in the 16th Plenary meeting of the European Regulators Group for Postal Service (ERGP), held on 27 and 28 June 2019. The meeting was preceded by two workshops during which the regulatory challenges in Europe and Americas, as well as the future of the postal regulation were discussed.
The Plenary adopted the draft ERGP Opinion on the review of the regulatory framework for postal services, discussed and adopted the Report on the development of postal networks and access practices regarding infrastructure related to the postal market. The draft ERGP Midterm Strategy for the period 2020-2022 and the 2020 ERGP Work Programme were adopted for public consultation.
The implementation of Regulation (EU) 2018/644 of the European Parliament and of the Council on cross-border parcel delivery services was also discussed by the representatives of the national regulatory authorities in the field of the postal services.
