At the Universal Postal Union Congress Bulgaria was elected for a Member of the Council of Administration and the Postal Operations Council
On 10 October 2012 within the 25th Congress of the Universal Postal Union in Doha, Qatar, elections for director general, deputy director general of the Union and members of the Council of Administration and Postal Operations Council were held. For the position director general and deputy director general were elected Bishar A. Hussein from Kenya and Pascal-Thierry Clivaz form Switzerland. Bulgaria was elected for a member of the Council of Administration and Postal Operations Council.
