Official inauguration of the RCS “Vidin”

 

On June 11, 2010 the Chairman of the Communications Regulation Commission – Mr. Veselin Bozhkov, PhD together with the regional governor of Vidin Mr. Plamen Stefanov officially inaugurated the remote-controlled station RCS “Vidin”, which is located in the building of “Vipom” AD. 

 

Representatives from General Directorate “Communications Control” to the CRC presented the operation of the remote-controlled station RCS “Vidin” and the National Radiofrequency Spectrum Monitoring System. 

 

RCS “Vidin” is designed for monitoring and control of the radiofrequency spectrum in the range 20 MHz to 3.0 GHz for the region of Vidin. 

 

After the completion of the construction process and the putting into operation of the station, tests were carried out and as of 01.06.2010 the station was put into normal operation in connection with the execution of the basic tasks related to the radiofrequency spectrum monitoring. 

 

With the opening of RCS “Vidin” the capabilities of CRC for monitoring and control of the radiofrequency spectrum in Northwestern Bulgaria are expanded.
