The Communications Regulation Commission (CRC) designated Towercom Bulgaria EAD for the candidate, which has won the conducted contest for issuing a permission for using individually assigned scarce resource – radio frequency spectrum for carrying out electronic communications through two electronic communications networks for terrestrial digital radio broadcasting with national scope for a term of 15 years.

 

The contest was announced at the beginning of April this year, after which CRC approved tender documents. In accordance with the adopted rules for conducting the procedure, the documents of the candidates were considered by an expert commission, which submitted a report on the rendered by the applicant documentation.

 

For participation in the contest 6 companies submitted documents and their names were published on the Internet webpage of CRC.

 

The Commission is expected to take a decision for designating the company, which will install the national digital television network in the second phase of the digitalization plan.
