The CRC adopted decision to cease the auction procedures for granting rights of use of individually assigned scarce resource for 4th and 5th mobile terrestrial network under GSM standard

The Communications Regulation Commission (CRC) on a session held on December 3, 2008 adopted a Decision for ceasing the auctions with secret bidding for granting rights of use of individually assigned scarce resource – radio frequency spectrum for carrying out public electronic communications through mobile terrestrial network under GSM standard with national coverage for 10 years term.

The Decision is taken on the grounds of Art.35 para 1 and para 4 of the Law on Electronic Communications (LEC) and in relation with CRC Decisions No 2194 and No 2195 dated October 23, 2008.

The reason for the procedures’ ceasing is the lack of submitted applications for participation by the fixed deadline – November 21, 2008 at 17.00.
