Smart regulations will ensure the efficient use of the radio frequency spectrum as well as the entry of 5G technology in Bulgaria, said Mr Ivan Dimitrov, Chairman of the Communications Regulation Commission during the BACCO Annual Conference on 12 November. The regulator will also play an important role in creating conditions for the construction of the necessary infrastructure, according to Mr Dimitrov, and he added that synchronization of the efforts of the institutions in the field of security and healthcare will be necessary.

 The possible acceleration and impediments in the 5G entry process were included to the topic of digital acceleration by the view of the major telecommunication companies. The readiness of the telecommunication industry to introduce the new technology as well as the necessity the consumers and the public to adapt to the innovations that digitalization brings were also discussed.
