Bulgaria and the Czech Republic signed a Memorandum of Cooperation in the field of electronic communications regulation

              

 

                    

 

On July 10th 2014 in Prague, the Czech Republic, the Chairman of the Communications Regulation Commission (CRC) Veselin Bozhkov, PhD and Mr. Jaromir Novak - Chairman of the Council of the Czech Telecommunication Office (CTU), signed a Memorandum of Cooperation between the two regulatory authorities. On the CRC side, the delegation included: Veselin Bozhkov, PhD - Chairman, Assoc. Prof. Irina Romanska – Member and Mr. Konstantin Tilev – Member.

 

The main goal of this Memorandum is to create a formal framework for bilateral cooperation and encourage the exchange of information regarding the national legislation and the experience in the field of electronic communications regulation.

 

The Parties expect this cooperation to support their regulatory activities, within their competences, which aim at promoting competition in the area and protecting the interests of end-users in compliance with the best European practices.

 

The initiative is a continuation of the policy of the CRC to develop and deepen the interaction with the national regulators of the EU countries.
